Whitehall Parish Centre - Crop Night 18th February

Postby Annamarie » Mon Feb 08, 2010 7:22 pm

Hi everyone,

This month we're holding a choice of Workshops at our Crop Night in Whitehall Parish Centre:

Workshop 1 - Introduction to Scrapbooking with Annamarie - 7pm to 9pm

If you've ever wanted to try scrapbooking this Workshop is for you. It brings you through the basics of scrapbooking, including materials used, layout options, basic techniques and finishes off with you creating your first 12" x 12" scrapbook layout.
Cost: €25.00 including all materials (you'll need to bring a scissors, ruler, pencil and acid-free glue).

Workshop 2 - Painting with Distress Inks with Mina - 7pm to 9pm SOLD OUT

If you're a fan of rubber stamping and would like to learn how to colour in your stamped images with Distress Inks and get fantastic shaded detail then this is the Workshop for you. Learn the techniques and create a card with Mina Hartley. Mina is a talented card maker and papercrafter who specialises in teaching her techniques throughout Northern Ireland. Check out her blog to see some of her beautiful cards and projects.

Cost: €25.00 including all materials (just bring along a paintbrush!) Mina will be using Basic Grey Indian Summer paper in her Workshop and here's a sneak peek:

Do we really only need a paint brush.....any particular size? The poor man on the front desk won't know what is going on if we all arrive with no bags and baggage

Hi Val,

Yes, just a paint brush. Mina brings all the inks and papers you'll need. It's for painting the girl on the stamped image. The card is roughly 6x6 so a small paintbrush would be best. Bring whatever you have and I'm sure one of them will work.

Hi everyone...a paintbrush that is a little stiffer than a normal watercolour one is great for distress inks but any one will do...I make a little kit for everyone with everything you need to make the card so you can travel light that night lol

Oh wish I could go to this, and we're on half term, so normally it would be do-able - but it's DS's birthday so I can't. Boohoo!
