Whitehall Parish Centre - Workshop 18th March at 7pm

Postby Annamarie » Tue Mar 09, 2010 6:46 pm

Hi everyone,

Our next Crop will be in Whitehall Parish Centre on Thursday 18th March at 7pm. We'll be using scrummy new papers from My Minds Eye to create a scrapbook layout.

For the layout choose four (or five) 2.5" x 3.5" photos (size includes a white border) but you could also use two 4" x 6" with a white border. Make sure all of the photos are portrait format (not landscape) as this works better with the layout. I'll be giving you a die cut title in the shape of a cloud which says "you are sooo cute" so the layout is perfect for baby/child photos but you could bring along a piece of white cardstock and use the die cut as a template to create your own title and it would work just as well.

Here's a couple of sneak peeks:

What to bring:

Very important - a cutting mat, ruler and craft knife as you'll need it for the first step of the class. Apart from that, bring all your usual tools including trimmer, glue, scissors etc. I know lots of you have butterfly punches so if you have any bring them along as we'll need a butterfly die cut on the layout. I'll be bringing The Slice if you want to cut one on the night, but if you have a punch it'll save queueing.

If you'd like to see some examples of the type of scrapbook layouts we create at our Workshops check out our Workshop Gallery 2009.

As always, tea, coffee and cake are provided together with a full kit and tuition. The price for the evening is €25.00. The class will be suitable for experienced scrapbookers or beginners.

If you'd like to book a place at the Workshop, just post a message below or email workshops@thescrapbookstore.ie or text 086-2065346. Directions to the Centre are here!

Looking forward to seeing you then,
Annamarie

I'm just taking photos of the layout this evening to give you a sneak peek!

Make sure all of the photos are portrait format (not landscape) as this works better with the layout. Pam, do you have photo editing software? e.g. Photoshop etc.

Hi Julie,

No problem, I've just added your name.

There's now sneak peeks and a supply list added to the opening post and they're on the blog too.

See you all tomorrow night,
